My weekend by William of Dogville age 9.

Saturday evening I drove down to Brighton to see Reginald D Hunter at the Dome who was bloody hilarious and then came home again.

Sunday morning met up with Genie at Bluewater to shop for a new wardrobe. I've been milking the combats and sweatshirt look for way too long now so I've employed Genie my new style guru so we did all the shops trying to avoid buying combats and sweatshirts.
Yes I came away with lots of good gear but Genie came away with nothing. Strange for a girl.
Like a complete knob I forgot my wallet but I was saved by my buddy Andrew who had arrived to join us for breakfast . He had lots of cash with him.He's my friend.
Anyway we did lots of shops and ate lots of food but on the way out I spotted a mobile speed camera on one of the slip roads going back in so watch it people.

I don't have that excuse. Mind you I have seen a bit of amber that......

I'm thinking that myself,Doug's and Big Baz's Birthday celebrations should be held somewhere Italian but not Carlluccios in Smithfield because Doug has refused to go there ever again but I think the venue should be in London.

There should also be lots of parking out front so we can pose for the people and the cameras.

Suggestions people ?

It's the haunt of the londonbikers.com weekly meet up so should be able to handle a crowd of roudy bikers

But I get the feeling that all MV'ers are totally hairist!!! I've met a few of you at Duxford, and there was hardly a full head of hair to be seen , even Genie wears a wig

my hair is real kate's got lovely flowing locks, mark and mr. wonder are still fairly hirsute, and alex has enough hair for a small family jim and alice sport similar, non-bald do's, and doug has a fine head of hair.

Okay, to take this thread in a completely different direction...

Last night I rode home from seeing Matthew Herbert at the Barbican (who is dead good by the way). On the way home through town to the A4, I had two PTW following me at a respectful distance. We met at the lights.

Both then made some lunatic moves in order to get in front. To an extreme degree, speeding, undertaking on slip road, or sitting in blind spot.I am forced to conclude that some male riders cannot bear being overtaken by a girl on a scooter.

Any other women deal with this sort of sad when they ride?

I had an audi A4 driver do the same thing to me on the A40 flyover when he realised he'd been over taken by a scooter. Half in my land half in the hard shoulder 100% look at me and how powerful my car is you poxy little single cylinder scooter.

Well I might be jealous that the only cage I have access to is cheap French rubbish

all. the. time. blokes will go to enormous lengths to overtake me, even when i'm clearly going at a quicker pace, and even if it involves stupid, dangerous, and inappropriate behaviour on their part. it's a bloke thing. i can't even begin to understand it so i just let them go by ... and then almost always pass them again a bit further up the road

I'm keeping very very quite on this one.

I just think that attractive women riding Scooters is very very sexy.

As for the Audi drivers, it's the people not the car.

I think it's simply a size thing. Some people just can't stand something smaller being in front of them be it a cage or a smaller cc PTW.

I get it in the Ka as well - idoits over taking for no reason and at the next set of lights there they are 2 ft in front of you.

They must be in front and yes sadly it is a guy thing.

I had an old git also on a twist and go Burgman who had a face of pickled lemons inserted into a bulldog's arse who got more and more angry with every set of lights.

Plus nervous fresh from DAS Sports Biker who was all shiny. His newness didn't stop him acting like Billy Big Bollocks though.

No objection to the casual perve, after all, its not often you get to see men dressing in leather outside of Vauxhall Cross.
