Mind you, she could shift that thing........no shame in letting others ride their own ride. 8) |

Another lady friend of mine came over from near Banbury a while back.
We were going to the BMF tailender at Peterborough Show Ground. She rode her FZS600 over to mine then I pillioned her to Peterborough on the GTV. She absolutely loved it......couldn't stop giggling when she got off. I feel like a missionary................ ![]() |

On a different note. I rather foolishly agreed to run a 10k next year, which means I have to start running again, it's been a few months since I have been out running, I went out tonight and feck me it was hard going Its going to be a long winter did i say I was going to ZZtop tomorrow. Oh yeah I did. |

I'm afraid I do get the red mist, but it only comes on when someone cuts me up first. Then I just HAVE to get ahead of them.
Luckily it's not usually very far to the next set of lights, when I can filter past with a cheery wave... |

pissed off as i just received a congestion charge fine for £60. i was baffled and annoyed as the photo clearly shows my honda accord on knightsbridge. i remember paying the charge that day so looked up the email receipt which proved me right.
so, i phone the cc people to tell them they've made a mistake as i've got proof that i paid. they're a bit perplexed as well until i notice that i've only gone and paid the fine for my bloody saab! what a plonker! i paid for the wrong bloody car! now i'm even more angry, but this time at myself. i said that surely their system must show that my saab had been paid for but did not enter the zone and was told that they don't keep that type of info. they apparently only keep records of cars that enter the zone and don't pay and have no way of knowing whether cars that paid did not enter the zone. sounds too bloody convenient to me! |

Kam, the first time I took Velma to a paying parking bay in Westminster I got a ticket for the same reason. I paid the parking charge for Shirley, who was obviously nowhere near Westminster at that time
I hadn't set my phone number/card etc up with the new reg plate, and I explained the situation and weirdly enough they let me off I even kept it as proof that there's hope in the world! I hope you get a nice little outcome there too |

Being readily identifiable as a woman doesn't seem to do me any favours, let us see if being more ambiguous changes things. |

I don't think that your sex has anything to do with it. People just have to assert themselves around scooter riders because they ain't macho and they are less than a car.
Which self-respecting car driver wants to be seen behind a scooter ? It's a compulsion to show that you aren't going to be be second to something as inferior as Vespa. As I said earlier in this thread it's also related to size. All the time I get twats overtaking me at speed just because I have a small ( but very cute ) Ka and I just chuckle when I get to the next set of lights and there they are. I just let them get on with it. Life's way too short. But hey if you are in your cage and I'm on the Hornet and we are in traffic bollocks I'll race you. I've got form on drag so no bother in posting the evidence.
Dessa, I've just had three or four incidents in the last month which have really surprised me after years of riding. I may have become a little paranoid! Either that, or the drivers of West London are bunch of sexist gits. It is always happens in West London, by the way. Different from the casual attempting to kill you. When you get verbal, people reveal their true feelings quite rapidly..... |
