I meant when I perve, not you.

Many years ago saw one of my soppiest friends in his kit and thought "phwaor".

Then he took his jacket off and the magic was lost.

evenin' all
I have some hair left, although its diminishing every day. Either that or my head is getting shinier.

Guys have this red-mist thing, that women just do not possess. I have no idea why. But the male of the species just cannot be overtaken or be behind anything or anyone that they deem inferior. Which is why (as a massive generalization) women are better riders/drivers than men.

There is nothing sexier than a woman biker, its the leathers or something. There is nothing more disgusting than the thought of a guy in leather trousers Bleh emoticon (surely things re sweaty enough down there) Bleh emoticon

We were going to the BMF tailender at Peterborough Show Ground.
She rode her FZS600 over to mine then I pillioned her to Peterborough on the GTV. She absolutely loved it......couldn't stop giggling when she got off. I feel like a missionary................ Laughing emoticon

I'm afraid I do get the red mist, but it only comes on when someone cuts me up first. Then I just HAVE to get ahead of them.

Luckily it's not usually very far to the next set of lights, when I can filter past with a cheery wave...

Thank-you. I did the new 2-part test, and my U-turns are not a problem, but I had to do a rather wide figure-8, as I was doing it on a manual motorbike and slightly botched my clutch-control on the day.

No pictures of the shinier SH, but I do have some from when I passed my test, inspired by yours earlier in the year:

hahaha, love the pics, you look well pleased with yourself as people do when the pass - or so is the message they want to put across on the driving test DVD's!

well done on doing on a manual, and the 2 day course too! Whew emoticon

ps - just noticed the tiny comment, I'm confused, you had a 300 before you took your test, is that allowed? or was that right after the test? and I'm so sorry to hear you got knocked off, glad to see you're well recovered and no much traumatised! Clap emoticon

They must be in front and yes sadly it is a guy thing.

don't know if I missed the boat on this one - but I generally don't care if they do, I think they're pretty pathetic.
In fact I really fancy the decent riders who are gentlemanly enough to let me lead the way - I'm bloody good at it anyway

and Bill - I also had a KA and "it kicked ass" what a great little car, I was never outdone on Shirley (a 50cc as you remember), the 1litre Ka or now my mighty Velma - of course some of you will remind me of that long up the hill ride in Kent where I could not go over 39km/h hehehe, but let's just ignore that bit!

yeah I've been there, when I was well younger I really fancied the posh-but-want-to-be-rebel biker club back home and dated a guy who (oh you're gonna laaaaaaugh at me now) rode a tricycle, yep, one of them
everyone took the piss, but I thought they were bloody cool

luckily I evolved now and do think Alex looks very foxy when he walks in with his lovely Dainese jacket I got him last Christmas and the black Arai helmet comes off 8) unless he's got the hi-viz on, in which case he just totally looks like the delivery boys from Sao Paulo, especially when he starts talking in their accent Laughing emoticon - but don't tell them that, hi-viz is GOOD, keeps him alive as I want him to remain!

pissed off as i just received a congestion charge fine for £60. i was baffled and annoyed as the photo clearly shows my honda accord on knightsbridge. i remember paying the charge that day so looked up the email receipt which proved me right.

so, i phone the cc people to tell them they've made a mistake as i've got proof that i paid. they're a bit perplexed as well until i notice that i've only gone and paid the fine for my bloody saab! what a plonker! i paid for the wrong bloody car!

now i'm even more angry, but this time at myself.

i said that surely their system must show that my saab had been paid for but did not enter the zone and was told that they don't keep that type of info. they apparently only keep records of cars that enter the zone and don't pay and have no way of knowing whether cars that paid did not enter the zone. sounds too bloody convenient to me!

Kam, the first time I took Velma to a paying parking bay in Westminster I got a ticket for the same reason. I paid the parking charge for Shirley, who was obviously nowhere near Westminster at that time

I hadn't set my phone number/card etc up with the new reg plate, and I explained the situation and weirdly enough they let me off
I even kept it as proof that there's hope in the world!

I hope you get a nice little outcome there too

Had another moment today - pure bullying on the road. I'm all for letting others ride their own ride, but I'm fed up of male drivers behaving like arseholes towards me.

So, I will be conducting an experiment from next week. I will wear a big bulky jacket, huge boots and tuck my ponytail in. I will see if road users treat me any differently. Being readily identifiable as a woman doesn't seem to do me any favours, let us see if being more ambiguous changes things.

I don't think that your sex has anything to do with it. People just have to assert themselves around scooter riders because they ain't macho and they are less than a car.
Which self-respecting car driver wants to be seen behind a scooter ?
It's a compulsion to show that you aren't going to be be second to something as inferior as Vespa.

As I said earlier in this thread it's also related to size.
All the time I get twats overtaking me at speed just because I have a small ( but very cute ) Ka and I just chuckle when I get to the next set of lights and there they are.
I just let them get on with it.
Life's way too short.

But hey if you are in your cage and I'm on the Hornet and we are in traffic bollocks I'll race you.

Nope. Had SH125 before test. Got SH300 after test. It was written off a week later. Got new SH300 last week. New SH300 has now lasted longer than previous one.

It was a girl thing. I was right next to Kate, so when she moved out of the way of the driver (funnily enough, in a Merc), I pulled in front of him and slowed down, as I was a bit pissed off.

He backed right off, and didn't beep me.

I've got form on drag so no bother in posting the evidence.

Dessa, I've just had three or four incidents in the last month which have really surprised me after years of riding. I may have become a little paranoid!

Either that, or the drivers of West London are bunch of sexist gits. It is always happens in West London, by the way. Different from the casual attempting to kill you. When you get verbal, people reveal their true feelings quite rapidly.....
