yeah me and Tracy had a massive Scooter crash in July ... broke me pelvis hip etc .. only just got back on my feet again ...

i can't buy any new stuff at the moment. and i think i'm going to hold out for the larger displacement one (80cc, i think the one in the video is a 50?), and one in the original kitschy green.

well, we're going to want pictures. definitely.

i rode to work today in a skirt (with kevlar jeans underneath) and cowboy boots and my ponytail hanging out. no attitude from anyone, not even the little gilera runner-boy who was revving next to me at at set of lights along forty lane.

maybe it's a pheromone thing? i was in a no-nonsense sort of a mood today.

the ride in was actually reallly lovely. lots of autumn colour, and relatively empty roads. i've been leaving the house at 7:30 and it makes all the difference.

Should be in the Blean area about that time, I used to rent a workshop there 11 years or so ago and I need to pick some tools up.
(My mate still runs a vehicle repair/body shop from there.)

I had a lovely ride in today - one of those that restores your faith in commuting. Good bits were:

- I let a courier go past, then he and I picked different filtering routes - and mine let me pop out ahead of the traffic while he got stuck

- Big black Merc squidged over to let me by in a queue on Whitehall; I gave him a nice wave

- Cyclist nodded for me to go first, all pleased that I'd seen him

And I stopped off to get the ET4 MOTed at Watling Tyres in Catford and it passed without even an advisory!

It seems we all had a good ride to work today.

I took the Hornet to work for reasons too boring to talk about and the roads were a bit damp but after a shit day at work I had the best fun ever on the trip home.

Hang on just taking a call. Sorry It was someone very important.

I lane split at speed all the way home and so many drivers moved aside for me to get through the traffic I had to stop myself from waving thank you's.

I just had this silly grin on my face all the way back to my gaff.

Funny how much more I enjoyed it minus a few wheels.

Still I don't want to spoil myself do I ?

Although I was on push bike today I had a nice ride to and from work today. The nice fresh breeze feels great first thing in the morn

A few weeks ago I noticed two ponies being kept in a a residential area near where the olympic village is being built on my route. I'm usually on Liz or running late and don't have time to stop and check them out. I managed to get a few snaps of them and I thought I'd share.

They kinda reminded me of my ET4 for some reason.

ohh well the ride on the 300 did not happen .. too painful on the hip just so unsteady .. oh well going to polish it and put it away until next year ...

dont think im ready yet .. going to have to listen to my body ..

shame the ride didn't happen but good thing you're being sensible about it ... no point pushing things if you're not ready. i'm sure we'll have some lovely days this winter though, don't give up hope of getting it out again before the summer.

Don't rush things, when you're really ready, It'll be a scoot ride worth waiting for.

It's the first draft. I need to contact Richie about where he is on some techy stuff he was going to do to it (I think he's been busy and I've been busy too).

The only thing i think may enhance it would be to have the route in the background in a sort of dot to dot stylie.

I was gonna try and do that, but I was having trouble messing around with maps and stuff. There was a temptation to do the map dads army style though. It's gonna be a two sided flyer so the route could go on the back.

A Dad's Army style map on the reverse would be ace mate. 8)

Last night I met up with Nik and it was the first time after his fall and apart from a small chunk missing from his chin he didn't look too bad.
He went home and I went to the movies to see 9 which was pretty damn good and well worth a second watch.

Today I spent most of the day rambling around Ightam Woods near Sevenoaks then moved on to Ightam Moat with lunch at the Crown Point near Seal.

All the leaves were the most beautiful yellow-ey gold colour and I can't do the views down into the Weald justice here but it was a beautiful looking down into the valley.
Sorry I'm welling up.

Hey there are Scooters on an Irish episode of Murder she wrote.
Murder she wrote ? She hasn't writen a word about murder in her life.
She turns up to meet an old friend who she hasn't seen in years and whallop the body count starts to rise.
Odd thing is no one can be bothered to murder her while they are at it.
If Angela Landsbury rings me up and askes herself over to my place I'm out.
