cheers for all of your wonderful suggestions i'm just thinking of writing 'i really really really really really really really really really really really really really .... [800 times] .... liked it.'
failing that, it was an exhibition of conceptual art, maybe a conceptual review along the lines of a blank white page with 'insert your own review here'. desperate and grasping at straws now ![]() |

What a lovely meet. November, in between storms and shit, in bright sunshine and good food and ale.
I decided I couldn't do 9mph all the way home so went east on the A13 and NC, and being very observant of speed cameras managed to do about 60mph most of the time (apart from the idiocies around Muswell Hill). Sorted Tom's 125 - new relay and (thanks CBS ![]() Picked up a new (to me) telly tonight from Tom's future outlaws. It was meant to be Bryony's (Tom's fiancé's) old Sony, but when we unloaded it into my gaff it is a totally shagged out JVC. I blame her parents... But it is far, far better than no TV. I had no idea how much I'd miss the box at certain times. Sad, I know. |

Sorry I missed it! After my Northern friend left around lunchtime, I examined the options (pub? ride in the suddenly nice weather) and decided instead to spend the rest of the day loafing around playing computer games and watching Sarah Jane Adventures. (If it's aimed at the under-ten demographic, why the constant parade of hot older-man totty as guest stars, eh?)

I had to google them both - Ian Richardson is rather yummy, don't go so much for beards.
I was also reminded of both Paul Eddington and Nigel Hawthorne in Yes, Minister. |

Well it seems as though Virgin Media don't know what classical music is. They gave me a choice of what I wanted to listen to while on hold pop, rock, indie, urban and classical. I choose classical and it's classical versions of pop songs wtf???

Alex, the last time I had to deal with Virgin Media it took me four attempts.
Indian call centers just don't cut it. In the end I used the "I want to leave Virgin Media" option and spoke to a brummie chap who couldn't help enough. |

Remote Control
You know those evenings when you have simply got to go out for a ride to clear the cobwebs out ?
Well tonight was one of them so I grabbed the Hornet got kitted up and rode up the M20 until it changed into the A20 at Swanley then picked up the South Circular and then jumped onto the A2 towards the O2 where I came off at North Greenwich to go and have a hot steaming beverage and a cookie at my favourite burger van. Drank and ate for a while then rode home back down the length of the A2 to peel off the A229 for Maidstone. The Rochester Bridge was a little interesting in the wind and it was just a little colder than I'd thought but hey it did the job. I also felt like I'd neglected the Hornet recently as it hadn't been out of the garage for a month so it was also a crappy excuse to charge the battery up. Bill X |

![]() ....can anyone (Alice, I'm guessing this may be you or nobody) tell me whether it's worth a visit to Portmeirion if you're NOT a Prisoner fanatic? (Actually, I suppose that probably counts you out, doesn't it, Alice?) I'm thinking of possible New Yr breaks. I fancy a couple of days in Liverpool for the kulcha, as well as a couple of days somewhere that we could combine with L'pool but which was nice and countryside-y. Any suggestions welcomed (we'll not be on scoots, so it doesn't matter whether there are great roads or not. Baby not allowed in topbox, apparently). |

I haven't been, but I understand it's very pretty in its own right (it's a trip I keep meaning to make). Bit touristy, though, I imagine - and tourists in black blazers with white edging, to boot.
Mostly I want to go because apparently they sell glasses with 'YOU HAVE JUST BEEN POISONED' printed on the bottom. And because the sequel to Sue Limb's Up the Garden Path has a scene set there. When I was staying in Merseyside in May, we spent a day noodling around the Peak District National Park, which is very countrysidey indeed (though quite busy what with the proximity of Manchester). New Year might not be the ideal time for the Snake Pass, mind, however many wheels you have. |
