Okay ignore "cut your face on my hair" look.

This comes in women's and men's, and I'd being going for black. Skinny fit so you don't have lots of excess material under the jacket.

This one is not fleece but there is another available that is, albeit with a shorter body cut but still thumb holes.

Bill: Thanks for the visit today, it was appreciated if short-lived. I am sorry about that but Saturdays are busy. Loved the Hornet, I am jealous despite having my 300. I am a twat by the way, you said you were on the way to Bluewater for shirts, well I have blinking shop full! I never even thought about it until you were long gone. It was nice to meet you and you were exactly as I expected (a jolly nice chap )

For those going to Duxford: Have a safe and interesting ride. I am sorry I am not with you, but my life can be ridiculously complicated at times. I hope to meet up with you all soon.

Donkwear...........

if you do go down the route of doing clothing one thing to consider is witha hoody the hood is very troublesome when combined with a bike jacket & helmet......

sweatshirt or fleece (without hood) is a far better option 8)

aha - smart, I'll ditch the hood then, it would probably just flap about round the back anyway.

Have a quick question. I'm planning a Africa trip for nov/dec. What is a cheap airline that flies into Nairobi Kenya from Heathrow? Looks like i can get a sweet deal from here to London but Continental doesn't fly to Africa. Thanks

You might want to check out Kayak.com...a travel site that checks multiple airlines.

They list fares from lowest to highest, and Turkish Air had the lowest RT fare at $506 for the sample dates I checked.

I'll ask a friend of mine who flew London-Nairobi about a year ago if he has any advice and will report back.

judy, we've got a really large african population in london - that could be why it's so cheap to fly to some parts of africa. i paid about $1000 for a round trip flight to durban a few years ago.

make sure you get a stopover so you can have dinner and drinks with the UK lot

Mmm, don't worry or apologise - the North Circular and a drum brake is a bad combo. Mr WM forgot that you don't commute into town every day and filtered regardless. As did I.

So it's all good.

For those who came to Duxford today who would be interested in another meeting of the DSSSC and the NBSC at a pub that serves good food later on in the year ?

Blame Maver for that one but I think it's a brilliant idea.

Now, somewhere halfway between us and Norwich ?

Any ideas ?

WONDER The last time i was over there was the summer of 89. We had a British ex-pat who got badly burned working on something for the Saudi royal family. We stabilized him and i took him to your burn center in London. Sweet deal. Lear jet ride over, week at the Savoy hotel, rental car, tickets to Phantom and a first class ticket home He recovered quite nicely

good news about Spider, a positive attitude can work wonders! I continue to wish him and Tracy well.

Thank you to the Donks? Skoks?, for being jolly nce people. It was nice to see some of you, even if I didn;t get a chance to speak to everyone properly. (I have the social skills of John Cleese's parrot).

The ride to Duxford along the M11 was wet, windy and a bit boring at times. But I loved it. And wanted to do it all over again when I got home. Laughing emoticon

Sorry for dumping you on the M11 Bill, I thought the M25 home would be quicker, (and I need the services) I nearly got wiped out a few miles from home on the a13! bloody people, I ended up on the gravel between the turn off for the m25 and the a13! but I didn't go down so thats good.

And I am up for the Pub thing too.

i must have missed the poor group riding part. i thought you did great on the ride back and it was a pleasure going round the hangars with you - i'm embarassed that i don't know more about aviation history

my favourite craft was the collapsible mini-helicopter with foot pedals - i want one for those days when i just don't feel like filtering.

No worries Marc. The M11/A12/A102M/A2 is shorter for me and just as quick than the M25 route but bugger me it was windy on the way home.

I hope you didn't get too wet. We didn't do a bad job of dodging the showers did we.

Good to ride with you at last Marc. As soon as we get a half way pub meet sorted lets do it again.

Not a bad day out if a little moist.

Had a slight ignorant city riding moment on the roundabout on the A10 where I just rolled straight past alex thinking "a gap, it's mine!"... Oh sorry that wasn't my gap to take

that collapsable helicopter was terrifying! If you knew you were flying that in the morning a Russian roulette game would be a good idea, not got a lot left to lose.

Sad to have missed Duxford, but by golly I had fun in Germany/Luxembourg!

Spider walking? Can't find thread after four day's absence, these things become elusive! Bloody impressive if so, super-glue and Locktite Blue to the fore!

My sympathies are really with Tracy - if she has to go to work despite her bruises, but he gets nine months off swanning about, I know who will be labelled a PITA very soon!.

May have to give it a miss, it's my B'day during that time (the big three O), not sure what the plans are, unconfirmed for some form of family and friends gathering, and there's a rideout me & Genie are doing. I'm also hoping for stippers or a 'Mr President' style birthday cake Razz emoticon

All MV'ers: Following on from the theme of Duxford last Sunday, there is a small Military and Flying Machines show just round the corner to where I live. I will be attending on the Sunday with the family. It is on the 8th and 9th August, Link: http://www.mvt-essex.org.uk/annual.htm If anyone decides to attend let me know and I will meet you there for a coffee.
