Wow. Sounds like the campaign has a good chance, if it gets enough exposure. Obiously I've read a bit about it from links you've posted, Jim, but I don't even know if I've seen anything in the news.

I was against their scheme from what I already knew, but I'm actually aghast now. I suppose there are many skeletons in the various closets of the "rotten burghs/boroughs". Maybe have to try and get down for one of these big rideouts you have down there!

well hello my dear donks, here I am again to say hey

you know I haven't been in touch much here things are very busy but you're always on my mind...

anyway, it's an emergency really
or not quite, but I thought I'd shout

first during "the big freeze" (don't get me started), my bike had frost all over it and in the morning when I opened the top box the hinge broke because it was frozen.
so basically now the lid of my top box is there and it can be locked, but when I open it literally the whole lid comes off. It's not very safe either to keep stuff in there, so I'm gutted about it.

that was a month ago

now just today, coming home from work at 8PM!!!!! I open my seat (where I now keep all my stuff) and the key goes a bit funny. I ignore it, put my handbag in there, chain and lock, ride home.
Get home, put the key on the seat to retrieve handbag etc and... the key turns losely, seat is locked.
yep, now the bloody lock of the seat appears to be broken too!!!!!!!!!!!

so my Miu Miu and my iPhone are trapped in there!

what do I dooooooooooo???

anyone can induct me on how to "break into" the seat? I hear it's really easy but I never "broke into" anyone's seat before...

Thanks Jim, I wasn't aware of this, and Edinburgh's a distinct possibility for my next commute - not that there's any news on that front yet, but I am applying over there so it could become an issue. Bassurts. Edinurgh is a bona fide nightmare for driving/navigating/parking. Being so bloody old there's very little logic in it's layout. Makes it great for exploring but useless for trying to get around. Especially if you've been smothered for years by Glasgow's geometrically pleasing grid system, almost perfect East-West alignment and incredibly convenient (although devastatingly destructive) urban motorway network.

Gawd, I've turned into an advert. Still, better than the old one: "Come tae Glesga - we'll set aboot ye..."
