i used to smoke like drax power station and rolled em like a demon.. gave up 5years ago ....... after many goes ....

it was easter and raining outside id run out of papers and couldnt be arsed going to shop so threw me baccy away and said thats it... havnt bothered since ... actually i really hate the smell if someones smoking beside me ... well proud of meself....
willpower is hard but it can work.. it did for me

So yesterday I was coming back from a funeral in Barking, in the pouring rain, which is about as depressing a set of circs as you could imagine, when a van driver called out at the lights:

"Scuse me, luv? Is that an 800cc?"

"Yup!"

"First one I've ever seen!"

I had a biker follow me home yesterday, we had a nice chat at the lights, he was a bit surprised at the speed.

He also confirmed that the Kwak off road rider who swerved over two lanes to nearly hit me was a twat who should use his mirrors!

I've realised there's a direct correlation between someone riding home in a pair of brogues and how much they cut you up.

I had a brisk ride through town today, regularly swapping places with a Back Street Heroes sort of bloke (pi$$ pot helmet, customised chopper/cruiser sort of thing, Iron Cross brake light, small ZZTop style beard, plenty of ratty blackish leather, etc).

He was a fast rider, and it was a lot of fun buzzing along "together". If I'd have thought about it, I'd have probably guessed he wasn't too pleased at a scoot keeping pace with him, but tbh I wasn't really thinking about it.

At one point I had a clear run past him, and saw that he was indicating to turn off. I gave him a wave instinctively as I went past, and straight away I thought "OMG! I bet he'll think I was taking the peeee" and was looking in my mirrors, half expecting him to change direction, follow me, and give me a piece of his mind.

It was a cheery surprise when he gave me a little beep-beep on the horn, and a thumbs up.

coming back from one of our Belgium rallies last year sarah and i met with a proper bunch of patch wearing hell's angel on some awesome choppers of various styles but all very individual, we had a great chat with them swapping stories of our times away and checking out the varied engineering, they loved the scoots and were impressed with how we used them 8)

i'd rather spend time with folk like that than a wanker who happened to ride the same machine as me

Aww, I have a secret liking for that kind of bike - especially those Iron Cross lights. It would be fun to have one of those, and some crosses on the sides, on a scooter instead of RAF roundels

if you do go for this on a scooter, set the Maltese crosses at an angle on the panels, do them big with a thin border and have them run into the indicator so you lose a bit, would look far better that way than having them all level and sqaure with the scooter lines.....

as for the Maltese cross rear light, get it cut in and mounted flush rather than just bolted on............

As for the scoot and the Barlowed up engine, I've not seen it since that fateful day on the streets of Italy, too much hassle with the insurance company made me just say...FUCK IT!

So i eventually got the ins payout that I had to fight tooth and nail to get (they originally offered me £600 )

and i blew a large chunk of the eventual payout and i'm now riding an ex army Armstrong MT500, its a dirty great big 2 wheeled tractor but I love it.

I cant beieve you lot are still here talking shit, its seems like I never left...I been popping in to the other place every now and then but dont have the time at the minute to enter into any scooter related shenanigans.

we have put away a healthy repast at the spaghetti house in haymarket and hereby pronounce it fit for the april donkfest. in fact bill liked it so much he made the reservation then and there.

Today i received my belated birthday present, a Hercules Compact folding bicycle. To celebrate the happy event, Genie and I cycled along the canal from Hackney to Edmonton where we enjoyed cakes and tea. yeah. We did see a smoking troll with dreadlocks, looking like a post-apocalyptic fairy tale character.

Here am I giving the bike the Billy touch by polishing its chrome and lubricating all its bits.

Bloody mod, you've even got white walls on your bike.

The whitewalls are about 30 years old and are almost completely perished. Tomorrow they'll be replaced with puncture-resistant reflective Schwalbe BMX tyres.
