Yep but early days. See what happens first.

Bill, there are plenty of Vespa nutters out in town now. They come out of hibernation when the sun arrives. And then they are Valentino Rossi for the day.

So on the way back from Central London I almost got side wiped by some pathetic retard on a GT125.

He looked about 18, was wearing a t-shirt and jeans and was weaving all over the road and generally being very annoying so I did a very mature thing and let him go to the front of the traffic where I hoped he would hopefully kill himself fairly soon.

He annoyed me because he scared me by weaving about 2 ft from the Hornets legshield but I also had Genie on the back and anything that puts her at risk really pisses me off.

Now part of me wanted to ride up along side, reach over, grab hold of the ignition key, pull it out either and ride off with it or toss it into the road while saying something smart like "when you grow up you can have it back" etc etc.

But I did nothing of the sort I just let him ride off and I'm still kicking myself for it.

I'm a gobshite but I hate confrontation and I didn't want to let that little prick spoil my day.

You have those idiot f***ers over there as well, I see.

There has been a raft of E-Bike sales over here, as they don't need licences to drive??? them.
They are menaces to all and sundry. The only positive is that they have to wear helmets, if only to keep what little brains they may have, intact, when they crash, as many of them do.
It is getting very scary as you not only have to dodge mad cagers, cyclists who think they have a divine right to the road, but now, these E-Bike teeny-bopper, mental dwarves to worry about.
Actually, some of them are adults?? who have lost their driver's licences for DUI.
AND, I think they may still be DUI on these E-Bikes.

The next official meet will be on May 23rd in Central London somewhere Italian about 12.00.

It's very nice bike but perhaps too much POWAH for some new like me - maybe a Bonneville. That is the closest I can get to the dream.

Yes to Carluccios. Maybe best to plonk it on the group board if it is not there already?

I'd love to buy that scooter, but there would need to be a serious banking error in my favour for me to be due an upgrade any time in the near future. And obviously for real life to have the same rules as Monopoly.

Whoever ends up snapping it up will have one seriously pampered scoot on their hands.

Jim it's £1500. And it's a bloody gem.

Tax and Mot'd until July. 7500 miles with service history and lots of new heatey bits. - Temp sender, thermostat, holder and coolant.

I'd love to keep it in the family Jim.

The only thing I want to keep is the screen.

I'm off to view a low mileage GT250 at the weekend in Southampton and if I like it I'll make a serious effort to sell the Hornet but I'm going to wait until I've done the once over.
The killer is with the Hornet is that there is nothing wrong with it.
All I want is little more poke and yes Doug is to blame for allowing me to ride his 250 enough times to want just a little bit more.
This sounds like horseshit but I'd like to sell it to someone I like because I want it to have a good home.
The 250 I'm looking at has Sava tyres and only has about 2K on the clock so I'm thinking the mileage is true.

Bill's scoot is one of the best I've seen. I was able to adjust the rear shocks from their lowest position and they weren't even seized. Stunning condition. Jealous. It's in better condition than my GTS which is five months old. Any cobwebs from under-use in the early years have certainly been blown away.

A little pic from our visit to Glenn's yesterday (please note the new slimline me - I almost look slimmer than Genie Wha? emoticon ). Hope you can join us when we meet up at Carluccio's to talk more shit.

Well I still have the original manual and warranty booklet, the code key/card plus it's datataged.lt's got loads of receipts and service history up to 886 kms which was it's 3rd service but it's had it's oil changed twice sinse then and it's had a new battery plus a belt and roller change recently.

And being mine it's had the living daylights polished out of it but you knew that already.

Notice
Don't we all have nice hips and bottoms in that picture ?

Just wanted to share.

You know that's going to happen, I'm going to look at that 250 and decide it's not as clean as the Hornet.

It was a small crack in the headlight cowling which I'll have to have repainted but the owner and I have already discussed what that will cost.

Shush now Billy.

Well if anyone buys the Hornet then they should take account of the fact that it is 2mm bigger all round than standard due to extensive waxing! It is very clean, cossetted and in good, good shape.

Bill, as a girl, what colour is this 250? You know that matters.

On the quality front, flipped up the visor on my Arai this morning the visor came off in my hand! Prior to that it had been making a strange whistling noise which I thought was the venting.

Riding around Forest Hill with one hand as I tried to find an exit from the South Circular was not funny. It made for a teary ride.

If you get what you pay for then I am pretty cheesed off as this is an expensive helmet which should not bloody break in the first twelve months of ownership.

It's the colour you hate Kate! But I actually quite like it on the GTS....

Cortina?

If you read the webbikeworld reviews on Arai helmets they always whinge about the visor mechanisms. Shame, as the rest of the helmet is quality. A decent dealer should have spares.

My Schuberth collapsed at the visor and I had to resort to superglue. But it worked.

It's not mad and crazy Wonder - it's Silver but it's more the mileage and condition that's attractive to me.

We all know Silver polishes up quite well and Vintage Red would have been my first choice but you know what they say about beggers.

2 things that I'm sure of if I decide to buy it, or should I say if I can buy it and that's what it's name will be and those Sava's are coming off within minutes.

Bill XX

Wonder, if you use an open face crash helmet you wouldn't have that problem.

Dammit.

Oh I like the Cortina on a GTS, just not on an ET.

There's a nice Cortina GTS on my street which has beautiful paint - never seen the owner but it does dodge about so it gets ridden.

The Arai thing really irritates me - might just buy some goggles because as you point out its a significant fault. Broken on both sides, not just the one.

I cleaned St.Piran when you left - no polish, just a bit of soapy hot water.

You should see it now, gleaming!
