I looked at a new GTV 250 at the dealer today and thought it was really nice. Considering trading my ET4.

Any GTV owners that would like to comment/enlighten?

Thank You

Just make sure that it fits you well. Some riders don't like the seat because it puts you closer to the leg-shield than the GTS. Also, if you want a windscreen that is taller than the stock shield, there are very few choices. I would suggest that you go back to the dealer's showroom and sit on the scooter for a little while and see how it fits you.

That said, I really like mine a lot. I use it for running errands and when I just want a leisurely ride under 50mph in the country. I have a BV500 with a taller windscreen that I use for higher speeds and longer distances.

Hey cWade-I say go for it! I have a GTS 250 and my wife has the GTV 250 and we love both bikes. I am just south of 6'8" and my wife is about 5'8" and we have the taller windshields on both bikes. They come in handy when you take those longer, faster scoots. I do admit that the split seat was a little tough for me to get used to, but after riding it a bit, I found my "spot" and love the feel of the GTV. It's a nice change from the GTS. but i don't get to ride it as often as my wife prefers that vintage styling. The GTV is a little easier to have a rider on back as each has a defined seat. Both bikes are peppy and hold 70 mph without any issues. I do believe the GTV feels a little more stable and solid than the GTS, but that may just exist in my own mind. GTV is a great bike-go for it.

I did sit on it for a bit and the only issue was getting off. I tended to hit my knee if I wasn't paying attention, that's just a getting used to thing.

Thank you for your replies.

GTV rider here. 19,000+ miles later and I'm still lovin' it. I have no issues with the seat. I'm 5'7" 130lbs and it's seems like I'm built for this. I have done 6-7hr freeway rides at a time and I still have no complaints. Go back to the dealer and take it for a test ride. You will notice a significant difference in the weight between your ET4 and the GTV.

Good luck!

I feel almost spoiled with my GTV, it's by far the nicest scooter I've ever ridden. It has no issues in slow city traffic, or going all wide-out on the highway. Yes, I would recommend a larger screen, but it will make it look better too, so you can't go wrong there.

As said above, the main issue folks seem to have is with the seat. But I'm on the short side, so I don't mind sitting a little farther forward. And you could always modify the seat to tip it back just a pinch (there's simple tutorials here on MV for that), or replace it with a GTS seat.

I'm really glad I chose the GTV over the GTS. Yeah, the differences are mainly cosmetic. But I'm very happy with mine.
