Question of the day...to access the bolts of the shock, do you need to remove your rear tire?

Seems like a tight fit, but possible...but wasn't sure.

thanks all..

no but you have to remove the cover for the battery to get to the nut on top off the shock

Bitubo Rear Shock
Thx BD..you were right.

Now....does anyone know/have installed the bitubo shock on an et4?

I did the install but there appears to be some "give" at the upper mount, when the bike is on the center stand. When I put the bike down it's not an issue. Is this normal?

Specifically there's some "wiggle" where the upper mount and bolt is (from left to right).

Thx for any insights..

i don't know about the bitubo specifically but i know it shouldn't move. how much movement are you talking about?

doesn't the bitubo come with a rather confusing array of spacers? is it possible you've put them on in teh wrong order? or left one in the box?

Thx Genie....I went back and "reverse engineered" the install. Seems that the original shock, had an extra nut that I didn't need on the bitubo.

I was able to tighten the shock down, and now no "wonky" extra space.

Good stuff!

When in doubt......look at the original install and tear things apart.

Diggin the ability to adjust both my front and rear shock.

Happy scooting...
