Modern Vespa

We're having Pirate lower the seat on her new orange 150 S. What are pros and cons of leather vs. vinyl? Any wet weather riding would be rare and inadvertant. It does get very hot here but low humidity.

What do you have? Like it? Any suggestions or advice will be apprecitated.

Had my seat redone by a local shop, not Pirate (big mistake to not use Pirate). Went with leather specifically because the OEM vinyl made my legs sweat like I was running a marathon. The leather costs more, but well worth the extra expense. I'm in the SoCal desert, so its pretty warm around here in the summertime and very low humidity all year long.

I'm not too worried about sun damage because I (at the minimum) cover the seat when I'm inside at work. That's when I don't use the whole bike cover. At night, the bike is in the garage.

If you can afford the extra expense of leather...go that route. You won't regret it.

Leather! Treat it well & it will last forever, or at the least a good long time. Looks nicer too

I have a lowered Pirate Seat with a Gel pad in Vinyl. Very comfy and I do not regret getting leather. It looks brand new!
