One month now... It's seriously holding up my 6000 mile service and rear tire change.

Putt-putt-putt... This is the sound my 500 is starting to make. It's also making strange little flatulent sounds, upon deceleration, similar to back-firing but much quieter.

My milage is at 6500 now and although I think I can still get another couple hundred miles out of my rear tire, I'd really like to get it changed soon. Getting sort of close to those wear marks...

So frustrating...

Just get everything else done but the belt. I doubt there is much, if any financial downside to doing it in two phases, just the inconvenience of taking the bike in two times. Don't risk a blowout, as you can see the trouble that has caused for other's on this site lately......

Try cleaning your air filter... very easy to do yourself.

I think the 6,000 mile service is truly due at 6,200 and some change, so your not as far past the requirement as you might think

My Costa took 1 day short of 3 weeks to arrive last month. Yours should be arriving very soon.

My personal experience with the Costa maybe wasn't as dramatic and overwhelmingly positive as I expected based on feedback here. It's clearly smoother and stronger from a dead stop, and it's very good on aggressive acceleration, but from time to time when moving aimlessly along with traffic it feels like I'm ridiing a buzzy little 50cc.

Anyway, good luck and let us know how it goes...

Now I'm wondering if I should plunk the money down now so I can get it before my wedding in October. The fiance is not going to be pleased...
