After some long hard WOT in near 100 F heat at Amerivespa seems like I have gained a rattling baffle in the front half of my Prima pipe.

The pipe is quite a bit louder as well.

I am gong to drill the rivets out and open up the front end and have a look.

I doubt the pipe ever had packing, but I'm thinking of sticking some in, if it's possible, Cycle Gear in Gilroy has packs for 10 bucks.

I know folks have repacked P.M.'s and maybe Leo V's but has anyone ever opened up a Prima?

uhhm, yeah.

forget it, I just removed the pipe.

There is nothing to pack, it's not designed that way.

It is clever though, the way it works.

o.k. nothing more to see here, I think I'll go take a piss in the shower......

So, no batting material and no baffle fitting at all in there? Hmmmmm... I'm curious.

No batting material, just chambers with perforated tubes.

My 'rattle' was the front perf'd tube come loose and bouncing around in the chamber.

Another interesting attribute was the cracking all around the Lambda sensor housing on the engine pipe.

It has failed (how you say reggay style)..... big-time.

I'm rocking the stock pipe right now while I find someone who can weld, with feeling......

Maybe S.wks. can help me out with a new header pipe.
