Don't buy a sealed beam...

1) they aren't readily available anymore
2) you're stuck buying this big assembly + paying shipping + more expensive anytime the bulb actually burns out.
3) Buy the conversion kit for 70's sealed beam headlights. It comes with the glass, the bulb holder, and will convert the style over to the replaceable bulb one, meaning cheaper and more availble headlight replacements going forward.
4) It will enable you to run a 6v halogen bulb, or be ready should you ever switch to a 12v system so you can run a 12v halogen bulb.

Personally, i wouldn't change it unless my bulb was blown ..but if yours is dead just buy the conversion.

my et3 has a broken lense and had a bad bulb.

i almost bought an og set up.

i decided to use clear packing tape for the lense and a $3.75 bulb from the yamaha shop.

what you want is here

this is the one eric speaks of.
i've used several of these and i'm quite happy.
ask for several back up bulbs when you order.
you may also need the screws and plates, too. so check before putting in your order.

yay motorsport!

best,
