Hello...putting my Rally back together. My question is about the selector box gasket- do I install it dry, or oil it? I seem to recall oiling one before, but I can't find a recommendation in any manual or website. Hoping to get it all hooked up this weekend.

Use the thinnest layer of Hylomar (English stuff, but sold by Permatex in the US). Doesn't dry, doesn't set, easy to remove and reuse later.

i personally like a thin film of sealant-- p-tex, hylomar, even hi-tack. try and avoid the tuff stuff like yamabond, three bond, motoseal-- it's a real bitch to clean up on that part.

i find that the p-tex spray copper works really, really well. but you can never go wrong with hylomar.

best,
