Cannot I use twist ties or twine to hold tinfoil in place to at least deflect the heat 🙄? I'll constantly be worried while riding it.

The usual shade-tree temporary fix is a tin can and hose clamps.

Tin-foil will just blow apart. Twine may burn. Twist-ties have plastic or paper surrounding the wire - flammable.

Just take it in ASAP.

I've just done it, but are you punking me with the flammable comment? Is that a legitimate risk?

Sorry, I was unclear. I put tinfoil with the twist ties on the nearby hose that I assumed was the hydraulic line mentioned previously.

I also stuffed a few ice packs up there😜
