Is big brother/siss gonna ding me if I make an order from SIP?

Never brought in parts from out of country before.

Around $1400...if they do nail me...how much?

Just wondering...

Depends on how the shipper describes the goods on the manifest. I think with an order at that declared value, you'll get hit with duty and taxes, regardless.

The only things that will probably incur a tariff are bearings.

The rest may incur duty.

I have never had to pay a duty/tariff for anything I have bought from overseas, and I order quite a bit, not just scooter related. Your results may vary, but i doubt you'll have to pay anything.

i've not had to pay duties or tariff on anything i've ordered from SIP or scooter-center.

however, DO NOT order ANY bearings or ANYTHING that could be described as a bearing.

besides paying thru the nose on import your shipment will be in customs forever!

looking to circumvent the system or ease a headache?
order from a stateside shop, most locals put in orders about once/twice a month. i know several that would be happy to take your money on a piggyback order. and you may even save on shipping!

best,
-greasy

Certain types of goods are supposed to have duty charged on them, but
most times private imports slip through customs without it being charged. However, once in a while customs catches it and the individual gets a duty bill.
