My original headlight on my P200E broke, so now I'm in the market for a replacement and wondering about upgrades.

I've got it wired for a 12V stator (busted my original one, so now I'm using an Americanized LML stator), ostensibly to run the horn and turn signals off the battery but that hasn't been charging (totally different story), with the headlight running directly off the engine.

So, what kind of upgrades can I make, or should I stick with the old school headlight assembly?

You have three options.

Replace your sealed-beam.

Go with a 1977-2000 Euro headlight that takes a replaceable bayonet style bulb.

A 2001-later PX headlight with clear front lens and H4 style bulb. This is the brightest and my favorite.

Turns out it was already fitted with the PX-style assembly. I guess I'll just get a new one of those.
