Geez people were in a hurry today and more than usual I have 2 mountains to go up to get out of where i live to civilization (used loosely). Anyway the one i usually take is 45mph pretty much straight uphill with a few bends and dips. There are 2 areas where it's the steepest that have wide shoulder lanes so trucks can pull over to let traffic go by if they can't do the speed limit. I started up the first steep spot doing 55mph, off in the distance behind me there are 2 cars, red one and a white one. Some oncoming traffic coming my way off in the distance also. About half way up i noticed the white car starting to come around me so i immediately let off the gas since the oncoming cars were close. I then looked again since i didn't see the red car and the red car was passing me on the right at the same time I was the middle of their vee around me

Oh good grief on the english lesson CHANGERANG no it was locals. Tourists usually drive convertibles or jeeps and go 2 miles an hour since they are usually looking at a map trying to figure where they are

Judy..thank God you're O.K...I got something about riding on weekends...seems like all the crazies come out:
1. The one's that don't get a chance to drive during the week 2. The one's that believe it's time to go crazy on the road...being "caged" up all week. Regardless no excuse. Jeeze...just got to exercise a little restraint out there...you know being behind a propelled weapon weighing in @ 1.5 to 2 tons... Glad you filed a Police Report...hopefully with your corroboration with the other report something can be done to have this person charged with reckless endagering...got to figure that the other oncoming cager was also forced off the road. Take care and see you later this month. |

I've had more than my fair share of folks that pull along side me and ask me for directions...I guess I look approachable enough..."no mo dat attitude look...." |

TB yeah but i doubt anything will be done. I'm amazed that somebody other than me thought it was a problem I've seen some weird stuff on that road but today was kind of scary. Anybody who uses that road is guilty of really speeding but not doing what the yahoo's did today.
