Took a rock (half inch) between the eyes on the road today, left a nice pit in the Faceshield. No cracking, just a divot.

Annoying as piss, any suggestions to take it out? or is it toast?

Faceshield? Is that your helmet visor or the windscreen, or what?

its toast. replace it. the pit even if you could get it to fill in will cause distortion.

That would be the helmet visor.

In North America:

+1

It would be like have a permanent bug splat on your visor...distracting.

I once bought some stuff from a motorcycle store that was supposed to buff out scratches on a face shield...worthless. I would have been better off putting the money towards a new one.

Yeah, figured as much, thanks for the verification.

Someone on the RBSC ride today pointed out that the integrity of the shield might be compromised as well. Next time it might crack instead of getting a divot.

I like my face, it is not a pretty one, but it is mine. So out goes the scratched one, on goes the spare.
