Putting the vespa GT I got back together and noticing that the screws didnt seem to be in the right place , is there anywhere I can get the sizes to ensure they are being put back correctly , or has someone a GT taken apart that they could give me these measurements , i've looked at a few vespa spares websites that show pictures but without dimensions it's a lost cause! (there were some missing so will need to order those up as well) , just want to make sure the bike has all the bits before I drop it into the sprayer .

Not sure what you might have already looked at - or which area of the frame you are referring to.
The screws for plastic body bits, like the glovebox re-assembly?
Or motor mount shit?

Re: Vespa GT Screws Puzzle
Sorry it's just the screws on the plastic body work , ie the side fairing , front box , handle bar covers , mudguards

I've the haynes manual , and the above document but doesnt really help much as no dimensions and some are pretty similar in look but slightly different in size.

The parts manual seems to show them all:

On a Gt200 I had earlier and our present two LX150s I found that the screws for the body work were almost a random assortment. For the same position left and right, they would be different on each side. I just decided, "Screw it!" so to speak. If it looked OK, I just left it in.

Don't forget to differentiate between the screws that go into plastic and those that go into U-clips. Tip, when screwing the 'into plastic' ones in, lightly and slowly turn the screws anticlockwise first until you feel them 'click' into the thread they carved for themselves first time. This reduces the chance of stripping the plastic.

An old thread, but just did some mods on my 2011 LX 150 and the screws for the floor and the rear fascia are random sizes, some torx some phillips, different sizes and just seems the screws are not uniform.

If you are not the original owner, prior owner could have opted to use non OEM screws or using screws randomly (this seems like path that was taken).

Try an check out the Wiki Library for the LX150 owners manual and you can ascertain the screw needed and contact your local dealer or work with Scooterwest and they may be able to help. I believe their parts Search and availbility is current.

Good Luck!
