does anyone know how much the bar ends weigh? I assume they are 14oz, but cannot confirm. I have the top case and bar ends, but I'm not sure it will be worth it to upgrade to 17oz. (hvmp)

Yes they are worth it, I have a pair, they even help after you take off the top case with the front end shake.

Glad I could help. Your scooter addiction can be costly, but worth it.

Fine a postal scale. Weigh the bar ends.

Now you know what they weigh.

P.

The bar ends that came with your bike weigh 9.5 oz. I know that because I weighed 'em.

If you weigh the heavier Piaggio bar ends that came with your top box please let us know--information is king

thanks, I agree info is king. I asked my shop if they knew the wt of the bar ends that came with the top case. If I don't hear from them, I will weigh them myself.

Heavier is better. We have the HVMP ones and would highly recommend them over the ones from Piaggio when you buy the top case.

Thanks, the order is in. Just to clarify, I have the Piaggio top case with bar ends now. I wanted to make sure the HVMP ones were heavier than current model I have, so I don't waste $.

I'm also trying to also figure out how to get the backrest pad from 300 top case to swap my current top case pad - to match the 300 seat I'm going to get.

I had the topcase bar ends but after adding the Hvmp ends, the wobble is even less of an issue, sure its only one ounce, but it seemed to work for me.

Thanks L.

I don't know the actual oz difference between the ones that came with the Piaggio top case and the HVMP ones, but I assure you they are heavier and they improved the high speed stability. I couldn't get my wife to ride over 55 until we got these installed. It is worth the $$.

If one has heated grips will it be a problem adding heavier bar ends?
