Was not in use for 3 weeks due to rain here in Maine- took it out yesterday for a quick jaunt, and now it won't start!! All systems seem to work, but it just doesn't catch- HELP! ANY/All suggestions welcome... I miss my baby, and I don't want to load it up and bring it to the shop!

A 2008 with only 700 miles? Duff battery. Put it on a *motorcycle* battery tender (worth every penny, can be used in situ) and then try. If it still doesn't start, let us know. Actually, let us know if it does. In any event, I suspect the battery should be replaced with a new one, properly given a forming charge.

Remove spark plug, re-attach it to the HT lead, hold with insulated pliers against the motor casing, get someone else to hold a brake lever and press the starter button. You should see a spark. If not, CDI has died (not unlikely, but unfortunate, I would doubt it to start with).

If you see that spark, then the problem can only be fuel.
