While researching the Canadian Peugeot distributor, I came across the mention of CECTEK "Available soon in Canada". A little further digging brought this, the Quadrift 500 (and it's brother, the Gladiator 500 off road model). The link below will take you to some video footage. It takes a while to load but the first half is of the Quadrift ripping it up in the streets - It looks like this may be a street legal quad (in some parts of some countries anyway). Pretty cool in my eyes non the less and something I've dreamed of for many, many years.

From everything I've ever read the biggest problem with getting quads legalized for the street has been the tires... those appear to be Maxxis tires on the Quadrift.

edited to add: yep Maxxis MA-Z1 Victra's

Hi Dan,

CMI Motors is the Canadian Peugeot distributor:

Click on the CECTEK logo and it takes you to:

Who knows if the Quadrift will actually be available... but it's kind of fun to speculate.

That's pretty damn cool. Looks like a kick in the pants to ride. Doubt they'll let us have it south of the 49th though. No airbags, seat belts, and I'm pretty sure no 5 star crash rating either. I'm kind of amazed they still let us ride motorcycles at all anymore.
