Just finished washing my scoot and the fake chamois that I use is crap.

I remember seeing the ShamWow at a local store (Canadiantire) for 19$.
Humm think I'm going to buy it tomorrow.

So who uses the ShamWow to clean their scoot?

For some strange reason I love infomercials. I have the Miracle blade 3 and I love it!

If I recall...didn't Billy Mayes pitch a mop with the shamwow fabric...it was a twist and dry action...will miss him.

Per OP...wife picked up shamwow...but I prefer the "absorber...it comes in a cylider tube...you use it like a chamois...then wring it as best as you can roll it up and slip it into the cylinder for storage...cap it off...you actually store it damp. There a relief hole in the bottom of the cylinder that allow enough air flow to keep it damp and no mildew build up. "Made in Japan...you know the Japanese they make good stuff..."

I don't know. It sells itself.
Whatever you use to squeege your scoot, the Shamwow / Slapchop pitch was hard to resist. The bloke was making a living.

If you Google Shamwow, you will stumble on testimonials from those who rave about it, and those who rant about it.

It is amazing how many people do not understand how a chamois, real or imitation, actually works. They will not sop up anything if used dry. They must be thoroughly soaked in water and then wrung out to be slightly damp. Then they will absorb water. The complaints are mostly from people who tried to use them dry.

I agree with poster, TB, above; I prefer the Absorber...available at Wallyworld. I use the Shamwow to pick up spills around the house works great for that purpose, but for drying a scooter and or cage, the absorber is the best!

I use a 3 pack of micro fiber towels from Target. They cost $3, dry the scoot and don't financially support the lying hooker slapper.

So sorry to have confused dear Billy Mays (Mr. Oxiclean) with that world-class loser Vince Shlomi [stage name "Vince Offer"]. Here's an excerpt from his Wikipedia entry :

In 1999 as a writer, director and actor, Offer released the The Underground Comedy Movie to scathing reviews. The New York Post said it "may be the least amusing comedy ever made," and Lawrence Van Gelder of The New York Times described the movie as "a series of sketches built around subjects like masturbation, defecation, alienation, urination, necrophilia, voyeurism, casual brutality, and mockery of the unfortunate." He added that Offer "makes the common mistake of equating the recognition of comic potential for comedy itself. For the successful, talent bridges the gap, but, here, it is absent."[4] DVDs of the film were marketed via television infomercial....

In 2004, Offer, an ex-Scientologist, sued the Church of Scientology with the help of attorney Ford Greene. He alleged that the church had declared him a criminal and had urged its members to commit libel against him. Offer claimed that the church's actions caused him to lose a successful business, as many of his employees were Scientologists who quit upon learning of what the church did.[8]
