Modern Vespa

Wednesday of last week I picked up my new s150 and have been loving every minute of it! I have been riding everyday everywhere since I drove off the lot. I even got caught up in a rain storm, it go a bit dicey but a good learning experience, good thing there wasn't much traffic at the time. I've been learning on this forum for quite a while and it has been invaluable even when it came to my rainy drive. So thanks all of you who have made scootering a much easier endeavor.

Anyways aside from all of that I managed to log 66 miles since picking her up, not too bad I would say (it's no 250 mile day, but fun none the less) Maybe one day I'll be able to log some long days in the saddle but I think I have to get a bit more weathered before that happens.

I snapped a few pictures of the "old hawg" today for you guys to see, so here she is (no name yet but I'm sure it'll come with time)

I think it is totally awsome!! I see they finally got smarter with the side reflectors and put some kind of soft plastic between them and the fender, as without it, the edges gouge the paint, sometimes cutting through to the fenders plastic.

Great color, I've said it before, I usually don't like bright colors but on a Vespa, yellows and oranges look great.

What's the top speed you did on this so far? Is it quick on accelerating?
I suggest the rear rack on these. It's pretty useful. I love this color except when it gets dirty...

I never noticed that it was different but yeah I am glad that they have fixed that little detail. Thanks, that is one thing that really drew me to this scooter, I was considering the lxv in green as well. The fastest I've been is 45, I'm trying to do the break-in thing but I really wan to open it up.

Yeah, its pretty quick, I've definitely gotten off the line faster than some of the cars I've been next to at traffic lights.

I have been looking at the rack too. I really want one just have to wait until I get some more $$$

Orange is the colour. I have seen the photos of new LX`s in taormina orange on Vespa´s official pages. They look awesome.

Mine is also orange, but as I won it in a prize draw it has a special paintwork promoting a German brewery.
