Sounds like alot of fun,I'll be stuck at work as usual. No baby sitter and no get away pass this weekend. I used the last few I had on Amerivespa.

I had gone on this ride last year. Had a good ride, being pretty much a newbie last year. Love the food at Cameron's.

I really want to do this but I obligated myself to take care of the little girl that day for the misses to get some quality her time.

I'll have to check with the Callum-ander again, but I'm pretty sure he said something about an award for "Best Modern."

Just something to think about.

I'm in the Bruno area and can hook up with your group along the skyline.

Laura/SFSG is leading a group to Alices... we're meeting at Ocean Beach at 11 AM across from the Beach Chalet, between Lincoln & Fulton on the Great Highway. There is a gas station at Lincoln and Great Highway. Kickstands up at 11:30 (real time- not scooter time ) - Let her know if you're coming so you're not left behind.

I've been wanting to go to this rally for a couple of years and have not been able to.
I won't be able to make it this year either. My son will be home from NYC this week. He hasn't been home since Oct so.... ya'll have a great time and ride safe.

So our tires & engines are new...a leisurely ride to Alice's for lunch then a ride back to Cameron's with the group. We will ride back up to SF at the end for the evening festivities.

Two things I remember from last year's ride...gravel and snot freezing ride back to SF.

Come on, you know you want to! Take that poor GTS out and give it some love! One last scoot to the moon!

Okay, since this will only be the second rally I will be attending in my life, you have to explain the whole gravel thingie in relationship to snot. (Unless the gravel didn't get up your nose).
The cold and SF I understand completely, and I'm bringing layers....

Heh... those would be two separate issues. The gravel was unexpected, just days before the rally, the county decided to resurface the road we took down there (Lobitos Creek Rd?) and it was covered in gravel slurry, making for somewhat treacherous going the last couple of miles to Highway 1.

As far as snot freezing goes, that's something I have experience with quite literally... I associate that with walking to the school bus stop in the winter when I lived in Massachusetts, but not riding up the coast to SF in July!

I grew up in Eastern PA. So I get the snot freezing. Remember going to the bus stop with wet hair and having parts of the tail of my braided hair break off... Which is why I moved out to California. Will never have to shovel my car out of the pile the snowplow left behind. ever.

I did enjoy this ride last year (minus gravel & snot). But I have some tire scrubbing to do this Sat. I got almost 6000 miles on it, so I can't complain.

Sounds like that should work for her son AND prevent the SNOT issue being mentioned in this thread! Though I still think it would be great for him to get in touch with his feminine side and wear the pink flames one!

Hope you people make it all the way to the moon and back again. looks like the only place i'm gonna be scooting to is work and home. Please post some pictures

I have an extra 3/4 face all black helmet, no flames, in size medium.
I also have the same as a pink sparkly helmet, but if he's not gonna wear pink flames, I don't think he'd go for the pink sparkles.
Would that be acceptable to the son?

Enzo and I will be leaving for the Los Gatos Diner from the Ugly Mug in Soquel at 9:30am for anyone in the Santa Cruz area that wants to join us.
