Purchased new from a dealer a lovely Navy model, pics to follow when i'm in a happier mood. Only had it a few days, had a lovely ride in to work on it today, got on it for the ride home.......nothing!! All the lights are ok, battery seems fine ignition not kicking in so whats the problem?

Breakdown guy came and did not seem to know what the fault was but refused to play with anything as it was brand new and suggested i go back to the main dealer....sadly he is over 40 miles aways. Spoke to him on phone he seems to think its just a loose cable/connection.....Appreciate any ideas or suggestions.
Crying or Very sad emoticon
Been looking forward to this bike since i was in a traffic accident with a idiot car driver 3 months ago...

What does the immobiliser LED do when you turn the key on? Duration and number of flashes please, and does it stay on or off.

Hi jimc.

Switched to on the immobiliser light flashes once then does not come on again. Duration of flashes while off is just under 2 secs.

OK, so that's all right, phew.

If you've checked all the fuses, then it can only be a duff connection. It may even be as simple as the spark-plug connector being loose.

I bet it's *trying* to work. And at least it is under warranty.

Yes, check both the cap to make sure it's seated all the way on the plug, and the wire, to make sure that the cap is fully screwed onto it. The wire came loose from the cap on my 300 shortly after I bought it... while riding at 70mph in the passing lane on the freeway! Thankfully it was an easy and quick fix... good luck with it, I hope that does the trick!

Turned out to be a faulty starter switch. Took the deal minutes to diagnose and replace. Back to being a happy bunny!! Razz emoticon
