I've always wondered who had the bright idea to situate a nuclear testing facility in Oak Ridge, TN. My ex-uncle is a headhunter for them. As I am equidistant between the two I have also wondered who thought "Let's place a NASA research facility in Huntsville, AL." Hillbillies, moonshine, NASA, nuclear science - we have it all around here.

Ou luthor....maybe one day we can do the "Neutron Dance".....(sung by Sister Sledge I believe...the "We are family" gals). Gotta learn the steps first though....

mods maybe, but there is plenty of time for after work rides. It's real east to get a 2 hour ride in on the way home. Did it the other day right through your neck of the woods -river road and hwy 72.

Maybe they will ship you to Idaho Falls Idaho to the INL (Idaho National Laboratory) They do all kinds of weird stuff there. Then you and I could go ride yellowstone for there Free National Park day. ( I think today is that day)

Thanks Jerry! I was thinking the whole time after we met that since you do so many mods(radio, speakers, seats, etc), you really put the Jerry in "Jerry rigged" .

BTW Jerry, did you get rid of that screen that you got from...can't remember. The con guy? You pic looks like it has a clear one whereas the other was tinted if I remember correctly.

Jerry-rigged is very specific to comments about WW stuff, and nowadays could be considered in some places as rather offensive apparently (not by me I hasten to add).

Jury-rigged is a far more common term (and in use far longer). Please don't confuse the two.

Don't know the entire tale behind it, but enough to tell...Jerry has/had a F1 clear screen. It's wings broke on his ride home from TN...you can get the details of that on his "Ride in Chattanooga" type posts.

Bubbajon has a tinted one that is still working that he bought from someone on here.

Other than that, I don't know of many who were able to procure theirs...

The screen is an F1. I and a couple of others (RexSilver and Bubbajon) love them. It seems like everyone else hates them. I started with a smoke one, had an accident with a gate at my dealers and broke it. He did me a clear replacement ($150). It was that one that broke the flap over the hand in Greenville when the bike went down in the hillside parking lot. I haven't replaced it and may not. I cut the other flap off - not well but a friend is bringing over a tool to make it match.

SO I put my dragon decals on the windshield, painted it black high enough to cover the work I did in putting the mods on the Piazzo short shield and got the windshield shown below.

Now I know I have modded my bike to death, cut holes in the dash, etc BUT I have just what I want now I bought a Zune with flash drive to take the place of the Ipod with the hard drive that I blew on my trip and I LOVE MY BIKE and know I could ride it anywhere. True, nobody would buy it unless I replace the fairings but I plan to NEVER sell my MP3. I would be buried on it, sitting up with my gear on but I plan to be cremated. Check the picture below. When someone said, "What do you call your bike?" I said, "Arthur - Arthur Pen Dragon - because it reminds me of a Dragon. (I know, it's "Pendragon" meaning commander of the fighting forces.)
