Seems to be a number of postings regarding battery problems which leads me to ask the following:

How do you monitor the condition of your battery before it dies? I have the original stock battery on my GT200. Can you take it into a auto shop and have it run on their battery analyzer?

If you replace this battery the one I am inclined to pick up is pictured below via Scooterwest.

I've read postings where a "gel" type battery or other brands the would suffice.

What battery would you recommend when it's time for a replacement (brand and part number if available) and is there anything that can be done to extend the life of a battery...please keep in mind that I live in a temperate climate (temp range is 60's low and mid 90's high).

Thanks!

keep up on the water levels every so often, if low fill with distilled water.

Interstate batterys says they have a maintaince free batter for our scoots. I havent needed one so I havent repleced mine yet. Check with them.

If you havent need to replace it, then I wouldnt worry too much about it.

Good luck

Manny
