Are they any good, they are cheap as anything. But are they just a waste of money. Its only for occasional use so I wont be banging loads of miles on them but.. will i only have to replace them with something else sooner rather than later.

i had a VEE rubber on the front of one of my ET4s (zippy1 in the back). the vee's last forever - it was only showing limited signs of wear after about 7000 miles - but they're not very nice to ride on - limited grip, bumpy, and you don't get much of a feel for the road. the other ET4 had zippy1s front and rear, and the difference in handling and ride quality was noticeable.

when it comes to tyres you should always pay as much as you can as £ = quality, ride comfort, handling & safety.

All the premium manufactures are good to varying degrees in each of these but thats more the choice of the buyer. But you cant go wrong with a top brand.

I think if you hardly ride it is still worth it.

Sorry - get saving lol

It all depends how hard you ride your scooter, my wife's ET4 is fitted with vee rubber & has been from new, they've been fine.
My gts & sidecar's running them & my son's scooter has one on the rear.
If you don't ride it like a sports bike it should be O.K.

Garbage tires. They look and feel like plastic, honestly. Was considering them before I saw one up close.

you are riding at 60mph on two pieces of rubber the size of your hand whether you do this every day or 5 mins once a week.

safety should come first and that means premium quality tyres - whatever is your preference.

For me i dont see any choice when it comes to basic safety.

I wouldnt use V rubber or Hutchinsons you might as well have tyres made of lard. Ive used both and ditched them fast.
I use sm100's £20 each or 3 for £55 Ive used them since thet dropped dexters and they're the best all rounders I've used. Sorry I didnt see your thread earlier
