Modern Vespa

Second week of my holiday and im board lol.Had some led bulbs doing nothing so had a wee play around.I drilled small hole in both rear turn signal and fitted a red led inside,as shown in pics will have to see how bright it is when fitted to scoot,if not too bright i will wire to tail light ,if bright then to brakes,the turn signal is not affected .Also i tried an orange led as i will fit them to front,it is legal to show a steady white or amber light at front in the UK

This looks very promising so far... Both look nice and bright and seem to defract onto the lens surface very well. So now to decide just what to hook it up to.. It will be good to see the pics of it in place.. I have to figure out how to post a video of my turn signals working to show everyone the effects.. It is very attention getting. I feel much safer and it looks cool.

Thanks Wes i think if the are wired to my stop lite and the turn signal is on it will look like the VW Passat ,they have a circle tail lite that flashes from red to amber . Must say you guys across the pond are well tuned in on the Vespa autos i take a lot of info and ideas from MV and post them on my club site solidbondsc.co.uk ,as a lot of the guys are "turning to the darkside".Its more for the reliability etc I had a 1983 PK 125s Automatica 1 of 1044 made 1 0f 8 imported to the UK ! i will post some pics of my rebuild on forum when i get time to resize them . Piaggio used them as a test bed to develop the modern vespa we SOO LOVE LOL Must say i am when i look at you scooter credit to you mate ride safe be seen keep the faith cheers bill have an Irish sunset on me

Fitted the rear led to turn signal lens ,wired to tail lights as they are not bright enough for stop lights .They also give out good light from side view

They look very good! Great addition for your scoot, that blue reflective tape looks good too. Keep up the great work!! I like that you have the red and amber in those !!

Where did you buy the led's?

My 07 ET4 with euro headlight fitted, h7 100watt xenon bulb and 5 led town/side light bulb. Led "US-style" lol turn signal mod and a 12 led mod done to the horncast .I am going to try a brighter amber led in turn signals as it is not as bright during day .Cheers Bill
