My P200E keeps losing the low beam headlight,
I've now been forced to use the high beam during the daytime.
(Can't ride at night for obvious reasons)

What is causing the low beam to keep blowing,
This is the second time in 3 weeks.

The fuse is a 30 amp fuse
(Not sure if that is the problem)

Which kind of headlight do you have: sealed beam or the bayonet style?

I think it is the bulb type replaceable kind,
The filament is not lighting in low beam just high beam

Check the low beam circuit from the handlebar switch to the bulb. Sounds like you have short there somewhere. The low beam circuit is different than the high beam circuit,

BTW, the fuse doesn't have anything to do with your headlight on your bike, but 30 amp is way too high. It should be an 8 amp.

Do Vespas have a voltage regulator and/or diodes of some kind?

I had the same problem with my Piaggio Zip 50 before. The replacement bulb would blow (but only the low-beam) just by riding round the block. It turned out to be a faulty voltage regulator.

Why would they put a 30 amp fuse in there?
I'll ask them when I take it in tomorrow after work to get it fixed.

Found the electrical diagram here.

I just hope it's safe to run for one more day with the 30 amp fuse in there,
I can't get to a store to get a lower 8 amp one until after work

Couldn't find any 8 amp fuses,
Just 7.5 amp fuses.

Hope it is okay to put that in.

I'll have them check that out tomorrow when I take it in after work,

Thanks for the tip.
