Modern Vespa

So if there was a bumper sticker which announced that you were having a mid life crisis what would it have on it ?

I was thinking of a collage containing a Porsche Boxter or a Mazda MX5/Miata next to a pair of leather trousers with maybe a baseball cap (UK only ) or a pony tail above a packet of Just for Men next to a too young paid for girlfriend and a letter from the CSA ?
Weekend kids as well ?

Maybe some divorce papers thrown in for good luck ?

* disco music
* a pink & baby blue exercise outfit
* pink tennis shoes
* and those socks that have a pom-poms at the heels

Just actually have the car (NSX for example), and step out in your leathers, tank top, tatoos, baseball cap (on backwards) with the poly tail sticking out underneath.. and then strut over to the other side to open the door let that sweet young thing step out.

I guess since I only have one of the above, I didn't really have a mid life crisis after all.....

Let's see... is it the pony tail or the sweet yg thang? 8)

A good mid life crisis bumper sticker might be a job app with Overqualified stamped across it in bold letters.

Another might read: The reason for this car is my 401K just left me. And it took my wife with it.

Only of the motorbike variety, and they are probably a little snug at the mo.

Hell with leather trou - wear your chaps with your tight whities - that will get your point... accross

I have successfully avoided mid life crisis by never growing up in the first place.

I already have, or do, the things that people decide they want for their mid-life crises. Have your fun every day, and that is all.

To answer this question we may have to discuss that your size might be a bit different than mine. I have leather chaps. Do you have chaps in England? And does it count?

To answer your post, and after pondering SDG's answer, and how much we think alike ... My mid-life crisis (MLC) is personal which means not discussable in a public forum. I am, however, ready to disclose that I am seeing a therapist. Not for crazy purposes but for MLC purposes. My MLC has to do with less money. I don't seem to have as much as before.

About half?

Next to my BV250, my 2002 Miata (which I have had for 7 years of my midlife crisis), is my favorite indulgence! Never had more fun in an automobile!

I am living my mid-life crisis these days.
I turned 50, nine years ago. I bought my Vespa GT for myself the day before .
Then a year later I bought a 1999 Mazda MX5 Miata to run in local autocross events with my son.
Weekends have been a lot of fun since, between solo rides, rides with the scooter club and racing the Miata.
2014 saw a great run in the Scooter Cannonball.
It also included me winning my class in the local Autocross while finishing in second overall.
The key to happiness is to do the things you enjoy. It makes you forget your age. For me, it means going fast.
