Does anyone know if this is possible? I would like to think that the increase in tire diameter would help the handling and also the greater availability of tire choices. If anyone has any experience with this please feel free to email me at jkbenn02@yahoo.com or just post it here for everyone. Thanks in advance!

I don't know if this would be possible, as I don't own an LX, but I suspect that clearance might be a problem. Does anyone know if the bolt pattern is the same? If so, it might be possible so shoehorn a bigger wheel in there, although it might be necessary to use a lower profile tire, if they're even available for 12" wheels. I would be curious to know if it's possible though.

Just for reference, the bigger diameter won't change the handling too much, aside from raising the ride height a bit. The tire width will make a much more noticeable difference in the handling, the wider the tire, the beefier it will feel.

I hope it works...
The part that I agree with is the change in ride height--I don't know how big of a deal that is, but it might be big(?). As far as handling goes, other things being equal, it should positively affect the handling and ride. Bigger wheels have added stability, the "gyro effect" (or whatever), and the contact patch is, all else being equal, a bit larger.

The bigger wheel/tire would impart a feeling of stability (slight), and it should give the ride some added resilience. But, I don't know if it is all good. You usually can't just invent stuff and have it all work to the positive.

I was looking at my GTS 300 yesterday and wondering if there is a light 13' wheel that would fit...
