Brand new Starter motor and Battery, I squeezed my clutch lever and pushed my start button....it did not start!
To check what's wrong somebody told me to investigate my cut-out relay, disconnect 2 main wires (blue and red) from the relay and with the switch-on....connect the two wires together.....presto i had an ignition!!!
After switching off, I then connected the two main wires back to the relay and then disconnected the two remaining smaller lines (pink and brown). I then with switched on, connected the brown wire to a metal part of the vespa for grounding and connect the pink wire directly to the baterry. I did not have an ignition.
I then reversed the connection: switched on again and with the brown wire connected to the battery and pink to ground. Again, I did not have an ignition.
Is the relay busted? Can anyone help me analyze this? MANY THANKS MV.
