Hi,

My battery goes flat if I dont use my GT200 for a week.
I noticed that when I charge it then reconnect it, there is a spark (quite visible) between battery connector and its wire, meaning that even when the scooter is turned off, it still drains the battery.
It might/must be the anti theft system which is constantly running, but the spark is really powerfull.

Has anybody allready installed a circuit breaker on a GT?
Battery wires are really short, I cant see where to install it, on another place than on the floor (risky).

Any advise is wellcome.

Hey, when you park your gt do you bloc the steering (key turned on "LOCK" position) or you just stop engine without steering bloc (key on "OFF" position).

When the key is on the OFF position electrical system is still closed. Indeed, on this position you're able to open the seat.
The electrical consumption is really poor but exists. I don't think, this residual consumption, could discharges totally a full charged and new battery, but a used (1-2 yrs old) batterie could be emptied in one week.

Bye bye boy

I tried both OFF and PARK positions with the same result.
Yes, electrical consumption should be poor and the battery should stay alive.
So i face two possible problems:
Weak battery or current leak.
The spark I get when I wire the battery makes me think I have a current leak.
Lazy me, I prefer to close the tap rather than to find the leak...

Check the Amp when battery is full charged. If tis not reach the max (written on the battery (by example 12 Amp)) your battery is really damaged.
A Pb bat. is damaged when its level down under 10% of global capacity. (memory effect).
