My eye sockets aren't big enough for my eyeballs to roll. This one deserves one big rolling eyeballs.

I tell ya, every time I want to kick in some cager's door, I remember I have a license plate on my rear.
This mod would result in some seriously damaged car doors in the SF Bay Area. |

Perfect solution to those red-light cameras. I never know whether to blast through the yellow light, or slam on my brakes and risk getting rear-ended.

I wonder if you could convince the cops that it was a fan to cool your muffler I'd have some if we had those cameras everywhere

The police dont take kindly to concealing your plates. Someone at Daytona bike week got a $1250 ticket this year for having something similar to that.

I seriously wish I had this when driving my car in SF a months ago. I work near AT&T park, south of Market area. I rarely drive my car because of traffic, but I needed the car for work. Around 5:30pm, I was going North on 2nd (crossing Bryant) to get to lower deck on ramp. At Bryant, sometimes there are dept. parking and traffic cops (not police or CHPs), who stand in the intersection to keep traffic moving.
I had the green light, but traffic was stopped ahead of ahead of me, which would have left my butt in the intersection, so I stopped using my own common sense, while at the same time the traffic cop also put up his hand signaling me to stop. He then put his hand down and was facing west to Bryant (his back to me). The light was still green and traffic ahead of moved enough for 2-3 cars to fit in, so I went. (again no cop had their hand up). Then, I hear same cop yell HEY, he goes in his little parking meter car to get out a pad and looks to read my rear plate (which unfortunately is a personalized plate and easy to remember). I was a good 1/2 block away from him again because traffic had moved. I was hoping the dude got my plate wrong, but no such luck as about a month went by and I got a $85 TICKET that stated I left the scene when a parking cop tried to give me a parking violation. HELLO? I wasn't parked and didn't leave any scene. I protested in writing and just received a notice yesterday stating that my violation was valid and if I want to fight, I need to do so in person, first come, first serve- and do so in 21 days. WTF. I'll fight again, but have to take off of work to do so. |

Side note they make spray's and covers for the cameras and such, most of the new bay area cameras use ambient light so those products don't work, but the old flash camera's like up at Hillsdale they work great against. |

the cops in my state check for the flip plates if they pull over a motorcycle. but the ones who have the flip plates most likely won't stop for the cops anyway.

when i did the Bullrun in 2006 (not the reality show...but the real cross country run), my friend was driving his Gallardo with a clear license plate cover that with a push of button it will fog up - for the sole purpose of blowing through electronic toll lanes without the electronic pass. Unfortunately for him, when he went to "un" fog the cover, it malfunctioned so the plate was 1/2 fogged and 1/2 clear...needless to say when the Michigan State Trooper noticed it, they gave him a nice "freedom search" and inspected every single part of his car and he was there for like 2 hours on teh side of the road.
lucky for him, he walked away with zero tickets |
