No real info from those sites as to the size of those units, but it will be worth looking into. I would only worry they are geared to go kart size engines!
Must be something out here if these don't work. Thanks for the links!

I had the same doubts at first, but they are 62mm ID intake connections (to our 54mm throttle body (55mm lip).
The K&N equivalent filter they offer is also 62mm ID, with 89mm (3.5in) diameter and 102mm length. ![]() That is a substantial size. Then there's the 3.75in diameter 5in length one: http://www.kartbay.com.au/p/378312/kn-air-filter-20-degree-angled.html |

Saved me the effort, thanks! I hope you go for it and let us know how it plays out. I need to see if there are U.S. distributors. Great find!

Probably no US distributors as it's an Australian Kart Association standard, but I'm pretty sure our sites and ebay sellers sell to USA, just as yours do to Aus.
I'm not going down that path yet, I'm trying a carbon sleeve with internal pod filter WirusWin style, on a budget though. I'm keen to try another 3" pod filter as well. |

Ray R wrote: I finally dug into the scoot to measure the outside diameter of intake port on the 500. It looks to be, according to my micrometer, 55mm, or @2.1875". It has a slight lip on it, and the 55mm is the diameter of that lip. I've ordered K&N filter part numbers RC-2330 and RC-1250 to see which one will fit best. I've also ordered the pre-filter to help resist water penetration. Those are part numbers 22-8028 and 22-8029 respectively. At the same time, I ordered the crankcase vent filter 62-1030. I'll be looking for a piece of 3/4" ID hose, probably auto-type water pump hose, to help hold that vent filter above crankcase level. I'll post results and pics(maybe) when I'm done. |

Not the K&N, but I did use the kart filter pod with success and hopefully posted about it on here.
From memory it was outrageously loud without the grey pod cover, taking over from the exhaust! I think I used the grey pod shroud to get a nice balance between exhaust note, and induction noise on wide throttle. I guessed my password after a random notification came through here, so I'll try to trawl the archives and jog my memory There's a Fuoco locally that tempts me, but I've given up the moto's for bicycles and electric assist, just not at full mid life milestone/crisis yet to take the plunge back in, but plenty of 3 wheel oddities popping up keeping me on the hook! |
