I thought I would post some pics of my first rebuild of a 1965 Sportique. The engine was toast so I found as rebuild P200, replaced the floor board and upgrade the front wheel to an 10" w/ a GS 150 rim. The body has been repaired and painted by Atois.
Today we spent all day hand peening the floor rails with aircraft rivets. My friend is a pilot and also works for Boeing so we decided to give it a try. We added some chips and dents but nothing too bad plus Atois can fix them.
Jaxs
What did you use to hand peen the rivets? I have to put floor rails on and could use some advice.
Beautiful job, really nice. Thanks for the pictures.

Thank you
My friend is a aircraft engineer and has a pneumatic riveter and a bucking bar but some rivets were done by a hammer and punch.
A pneumatic riveter would b handy to have in one's garage. . . Did you back the rivets with washers before peening them over? Last question, I promise.

No as we used aircraft rivets and it was not needed. No problem on the questions as this is why we have this forum..... Good luck on your rebuild
