I have a rattling noise in my 2009 (fuel injected) BV250 during cruise and very light acceleration. Not at idle, not under any real load.

Maybe variator weights, something actually vibrating, a valve in the fi system ???? Anybody have any insight. I'm using 91 octane, don't think it's pinging.

check the muffler connections towards the top... mine made a similar noise and i found a loose connection...

I assume you mean where the header pipe meets the cyl head. I'll check both connections.
