What happended to Deliverance? It sounded so much more Southern Gothic. Squeal like a pig!

For the first time ever, Atlanta scooter clubs are joining together to bring you the Resurgence Scooter Rally!

Open to both modern and vintage bikes of all kinds the rally is guaranteed to be a good time! We are planning a huge event that will run Thursday through Saturday to include: a Historic City Day Ride, Mods vs. Rockers Night (with cafe runs alongside local cafe racer bikes), City Scavenger Hunt, multiple group rides, E.A.V. bar hop, food, drinks, Dj's, gymkhana, awards, dancing, karaoke, and raffles, including a raffle for a vintage p-series vespa! A Rally bag, T-shirt (for the first 150 registrants), and Patch included with $25 paid registration.

Deliverance was more of an Imperial SC rally and this year all (or most) of the clubs in Atlanta wanted to pool their enthusiasm and resources to make an even more kickass rally. I agree though, Deliverance was a pretty damn awesome name.

I still feel like its Deliverance at heart. Its just the next iteration of it.

I wanted to clarify the date. I screwed up the ending date in the little ad thingy that's here on Modern Vespa (and on all the magnets that were printed). It actually ends on the 20th.

Hey, I think I'm gonna come to the rally, but who else is going to be traveling from outside atlanta in order to attend? Anyone else from the Augusta area? or further? Maybe we can arrange a group ride there and back. Just an idea to help support these guys and contribute to their success!

I'm considering attending, especially if I have a bike by then, but I'm coming from Waycross, so I'll probably have to trailer.

And if I don't have a bike by then....better chain up your scoot.

Pre-rally kickoff tonight at the Arizona Pub!

So are you guys staying dry (I know your whistles are wet I'm referring to the rain) and managing to have a good time. 5.5" rain in Milledgeville Georgia last night after 2" during the day yesterday and still raining here.

If it lightens up some I will try to make it up to join you tomorrow.

It's rained hard right at arrival time for our last two events but we've rode plenty and still have had good turnouts. About to go to the scavenger hunt now.

Thanks to all that came out in the constant rain and made it a great event.

I trust everyone got home ok. Rain really turned loose on Sunday evening from what I see on the news. Some of our hosts may have personal problems from the rain.

From AJC.com web site this morning: At least 2 deaths and one missing for driving into flood waters. Homes flooded. Picture of a school bus turned over in a parking lot. Schools closed in 4 counties and people being asked to stay home.

Over 15" in some areas with 1" to 5" more on the way.
