Not sure if it's the color of the car or just the car but my rental car while hear in Boston is the 2010 Chevy Camaro...inthis irridescent orangy color (it was one of the colors the classic 67 Camaro used to come in...not called orange but I don't know the name)... Either way...you would think I was driving a Ferrari...when I stopped at a few traffic lights, people gave me the thumbs up or asked me about it...when I valet parked at a restaurant last night, the valet couldn't wait to try it out....it really is a nice car inside as well...beautiful gauges and very mod/retro....Too bad they only rent the LT and not the SS model.

I really do like the looks of the new Camaro (I was always partial to the 69 myself), but I don't think I'd ever buy one. My first car was a muscle car (1977 Trans Am), and I got the muscle car bug out of my system long ago. It was fun while it lasted, but I grew tired of its problems. I sold it in 1993 and used the money to buy a 1958 Heinkel Tourist when I lived in Berlin - one of the best decisions I ever made!
The only GM car I'd consider buying today would possibly be the Chevy Volt, but I'd probably need some serious convincing to buy another GM product. |

FYI, the LT has "only" 300 HP. To me that's pretty freaking cool for a base model. It's a 300 hp direct injection v6 (same GM lump in the Cadillac CTS).

MPGs?
Would you still be pleased with this boat at maybe $6.00 a US gal? (Could happen...) |

I'm a Ford guy myself but I like GM muscle too. That Direct injected V6 is fast as a lot of V8 powered cars.I saw a yellow SS the other day and boy did it sound mean 8)
now get on over to your local dragstrip and do a little bracket racing before you return it.If It's a automatic you should be real consistant and heck you just might win some cash |

Man, too huge and fat! the Stang has better proportions that the Camaro and the Challenger in my book. Sleek and sweet.

I'm sure I'd enjoy driving one, but I'd take a lighter-frame sports car over American muscle any day. Still, I'll take it for a spin if you stop by tomorrow

Here's The Orange One I Had...
Pix don't do it justice...the color is a metallic orange that really looks almost pearlescent....it seems to change and really sparkle in the sunlight...sorry about the crappy quality pix but it was taken with my Iphone:

These retro things are like dumped lovers, reliving the good old days. The choice of engines reminds us of the perkiness of a young lover. The colours attempts to conjure up the feelings, from a memory of the first time we touched. As we sit held in firmness, eyes brushing the round matt silver gauges, imagining the what ifs. The state of the American car industrie with it"s thinning grey hair, stretching the Armani threads accesorized by a twenty something.
