Does anyone here have one of these installed on their scooter? I am really thinking about getting one and I wanted some feedback. LINK

I have the system, and love it. Installed the transmitters into two scoots, and the receiver simply wires into and sits on the wall right below my existing receiver. Installation was easy -- came with Posi-tap connectors, which are a great invention (so good that I've stocked up on a few for other purposes). I like the system so well I'm thinking of putting a transmitter on my car. It sits out at night during the summer to make room for kayaks in the garage, and using the Flash2Pass transmitter would ensure that no one can break into the car and also get into the garage.

Anyway, I recommend the system. It's more expensive than hanging a supplemental opener on your keyring or having one in your pocket. On the other hand, I never find myself fumbling for an opener or otherwise distracted as I pull into my driveway and open the garage door.

I don't have one of these but I do have an ordinary up and over garage opener with a simple to use remote. I think it's fantastic - especially in the rain. I put the remote in a waterproof pocket at the front my jacket and just press the jacket as I pull up to my house. If I time it right then I drive in fine without even putting my feet down, if I get it slightly wrong then I tend to smack my head

Sadly the up and over door opener took a bit of a hit earlier this year when a young couple figured that parking next to my rear garage was the perfect spot for making out. I couldn't see their car from inside my garage so just pressed the button to leave - the noise the door made as it slowly worked it's way up the lads BMW was horrendous - and I'm pretty sure it put him off his stroke! Sadly it's somehow damaged the door as well as it only opens 3/4 of the way up now.

The advantage of having a separate remote though is that I can use the remote when I'm out in my old car or bicycling with my boys.

Save your money- This garage door opener works better and is much less expensive.

Sure, the up front costs might be less, but I guarantee you'll end up paying more in the long run...

I've got a mini opener that I just hang on my key ring. I just reach down and push the button. My driveway's long enough so by the time I get to the door it's open.

Great real world feedback Gin! That is what I was hoping to hear. Thank you.

Unless this one is equipped with a hooker as the actuator...it is the most expensive opener by far.

I get off my scoot.
Open the gate.
Walk forward 20 feet and open the garage doors.
Walk back 20 feet and get on the GT again.
Ride in.
Get off my scoot.
Walk back 20 feet and close the gate.
Come forward 20 feet again and close the garage doors.
~EXHAUSTING~! -I can barely make it up the 5 porch steps into the house after all that..!

(I'm just so out of date with all this mod garage stuff, y'know?) Laughing emoticon

2007GTS, you are welcome. I agree - that's what I most look for on this forum. Real user experience, from real users. Glad my comments are what you were hoping for. Good luck. Post a review if you get the Flash2Pass.

Your driveway must not be on a 30 degree grade.

I took something similar. I took it apart. Modified the circuit board to run on 12 volts and installed it with a button on my scoot. Now to open the door I move my thumb and press. The button is in the dud spot on my headset next to the ignition switch.

I saw this post and immediately ordered a couple for my scoot, and our 2 cars.

My verdict: FANTASTIC PRODUCT! Does just what it says it will, and the install was very easy. I used to have a door opener in the glove box (which is tiny on a beo), not anymore.

Thumbs way up!
