How's the scoot search going Dully?
Slowly. I would say poorly, but I'm still trying to keep my spirits up on it. I was dead set on having a scooter by my birthday, and yesterday has come and gone.
I've emailed/called on several, but either folks don't email me back, or I get an
immediate response...only for them to tell me it's been taken. Let's do the list shall we?
1) The Primavera in Savannah, GA was only half a rusted piece of junk, not worth $250, let alone the asking price.
2) The 100 in NC was put on hold while I followed up on #3, and got snatched up (understandably) while I had it on the back burner. Congrats That L do pig! How's she running?
3) The $400 VNB project bike in Atlanta, which I thought was perfect. I called 5 times, and emailed twice. No response. I can't imagine it was already gone when I first called. I responded to the ad in less than 6 hrs after it was posted.
4) The P200e in Northern AL. No response.
5) There was one in...was it Orlando?...I got a response less than five minutes after emailing to let me know it was already taken. The ad was less than three days old.
6) The LX150 in Orlando that I emailed about with body damage. Everyone on the Modern side told me not to touch that with a 10 foot pole.
7) I emailed a guy last week in ATL that said he had several Vespas and was looking to trade one for a VW bus. I asked if he had anything else he was willing to sell, or knew someone who did. He emailed back and asked me to call him with details on what I was looking for. I've called three times, no response.
Maybe I should just buy this Barbie and call it a wash?
Just kidding.
