I switched to a Sito+ on my LX150, which sounds a bit throatier... but I haven't been able to measure any performance improvement.

I also installed bar ends... mainly to help protect my hands in the event of a fall and because I like the look. On any of the modern Vespas that are not originally equipped with bar ends, you will have to cut out the ends of the rubber grips, and drill and tap threads into the ends of the mild steel plugs that are welded into the ends of the handlebars... easy to do. You'll need to add spacers (washers) to avoid compressing the ends of the grips, particularly on the throttle side.

Heavy bar ends are intended to reduce front-end wobble and vibration and do have a minor effect on the handling feel. However, there are dozens of styles of plated and powder-coated billet aluminum bar ends available on eBay for $6 - $10 or so that are lightweight and work fine if you don't want the weight. I have a set of chrome-plated, tapered aluminum ends that were originally intended for a Suzuki Hayabusa on mine, and they look great.

Greetings; I don't have a 125, so I can't discuss pipes. I am very happy with the Leo Vince on my 250. As for bar ends, I really like the Jettin bar ends. If you ever plan to transport your scoot, these are the only way to go. I haven't noticed any positive or negative affect on handling.

Bar end weights

and

What bar weights do I need?

IF YOU GOT TO "search" AND TYPE IN "BAR END WEIGHTS" OR A SIMILAR COMBINATION YOU WILL FIND ABOUT 10 THREADS COVERING THIS TOPIC.

That said, I have experience with the Extra Heavy ones from HVMP. They are the shit!

I don't see any reason to use heavy bar ends on an LX or S... there is no wobble problem on these bikes.

Here is the old thread that shows my installation on my LX:
Handlebar Weights on LX150 ?

big hands
Hi, i only want to add bar ends because i have large hands and they rest over the edge of the bars, so become tired after long rides!
so the lighter the better, i was worried they would effect handling!
