With all the discussion about Sebel horns and safety, I was thinking of doing something similiar. My concern is with any delay with an air horn.

When I push the button on an electric horn, it instantly sounds. In past experiences with air horns in a car, there was a delay while the relay clicked, compressor pumped, and finally sent air to the horn.

Is this noticable on the Sebel?

It only has a slight loudness strength delay on a Vintage,
But, What the hell, I just hold the button down longer anyways.

No delay at all. Just push the button and the cager who is about to cream you will soil his/her shorts. Get one right away.

Stebel specs it at 90 milliseconds. Barely perceptible.

I have a Stebel generic Wolo Bad Boy (Checkers) there is no delay once you press the horn button. I highly recommend installing something along the lines of a Stebel Nautilus / Wolo Bad Boy...it's perhaps one of the best safety improvements you will make to your scoot.

The other safey mod. that I have installed was an audible turn signal indicator...some like it some don't due to the noise (folks will along side you will hear it), but that's what I want anyway. I used the Radio Shack Radio Shack #273-068...sounds like a reverse beeper so people pay attention.
