Modern Vespa

It's my favorite show on TV. I love the drama of the Bering sea and crab fishing stories, with added crew & captain relationships! Tonight's show was awesome. 40 foot seas in 90 mph winds WHILE fishing crab. Man, I have the utmost respect for these guys.

Me too. All that freezing cold water looks so inviting..

Every year on opening day of boating season here we take our boat to Lake Washington to the log boom. We pass the Northwestern and most of the other boats at their docks on the way. The crews always wave as all the boats go by for the log boom, great guys, all of them.

A great show and I look forward to next week, but sometimes you just have to pull your crew in for safety sake and say fuck it.

I've wasted entire evenings watching that show. Why do they put them on one after the other?

That is a neat show, but I'm also into Ghost Hunters on the Sci Fi, I mean Sy Fy channel and Ghost Adventurers on The Travel Channel.

Seriously, love Sig and his smart-ass bro Edgar.
And the crew of the Corneila Marie are funny. But my favorite ship name has to be the Time Bandit.

I've watched it a couple times, but typically only for long enough to remind myself that I would never set foot onto a boat like that, in seas like those, at temperatures that cold, for my job. Those guys are nuts...

The thing that amazes me about these guys is that they don't know what the paycheck will be. Maybe big, maybe nothing depending on a lot of variables. I've been working as a merchant mariner for 22 years and have seen weather as bad, or worse than what the show depicts. But I always knew what the day rate would be.
Kudos to them, that's a tough job.

I discovered "Bizzare Foods" with Andrew Zimern, I love food, but some of his discoveries are truely BIZZARE! But I would have to say I would try many of the "Treats" he has found.

Another neat food program is No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain. I especially like his wit and play on words.

I have watched it once or twice but i always think of the movie The Perfect Storm every time i watch something like that Pathetic i know I'm with DILLINGER on the SY FY channel stuff.

Oh yeah, watching Ghost Hunters International right now.

It would be better if they weren't trying to be so politically correct. I hate all that bleeping during the narratives.

I don't cotton much to cussing myself but when you're out in public there isn't anyone to push a button during conversations. Some people must never go out in public.

I've taught my children to be moral and what I feel is right and wrong. I haven't tried to shelter them from what other people do or how other people live. They have to live in the world with people and should know what it's like.

This episode started out a bit slow but towards the end got a "arm hair" raising.

Deadliest Catch is a great show, one of the few TV shows I watch. I watch everything on Hulu now though. Don't have a TV in the house anymore.
