I'm a commuter, and not many of us on the freeway up here. I saw my first Vespa on the freeway this week! I freaked (a bit).

I commute 25 mile round-trip every day. Alone.
I have never done a group ride. I'd like to try one some day, but my weekend rides in the local hills are generally spontaneous affairs when the family happens to be out and about without me. |

I ride solo a majority of the time say 75%. When I'm not riding alone the hubby rides along.... but I have to slow down for him
A few times riding home from work I was riding along and 4 Harleys hopped in behind me, my guess was 2 married couples. They were very interested in the big wheel scoot- wanted to get one for their Mom's who is 70 years old lol. I always had fun riding with them, cars seem to be more observant when riding in a group. I've never done a club ride.... nearest club is about 60 miles away. |

I live 150km from my club so mostly solo but i have a friend in town with a classic lambretta that i ride my vintage with, around the local hills and back roads, go to the vintage car and bike shows in the area. Do a few club tours and a few rallies each year. I like riding with groups but it only happens 5 or 6 times a year. I organized a few rides locally but the turn out was poor.

There was a thread on this topic a while ago, it might be interesting for you:
How many loners out there? For me, the more I like people in general, the more I dislike them in particular. Riding solo allowed me the freedom to ride whenever I felt like, without having to organize something and then be somewhat dependent on others' needs and wants. That was the only way I could rack up over 1000 miles a month while I was single and lived in SoCal. Now I'm happily married, and my wife has her own GTS, so we ride a lot when time and season allows. While I'd still enjoy a group ride now and then, I can't see myself go with a local scooter club: all they want is ride some twenty miles and then sit down for a dinner for hours. That's not riding for me, so I have not joined them even once. PS: the term "roll" for this was new to me. Is this new jargon? |

I ride alone.
Most of the club riders around me are terrified of the highway, or the rain, or going over 55 mph. If I suggest we actually leave the state, they look at me like I have lost my mind. |

Solo, but not by choice really, I just haven't met any adventurous folks in this town who scoot.

I don't us my scoot ( or my MC) for commuting. Use them for running errands but mostly just for the fun of riding At least for now, going alone lets me concentrate better on my riding or exploring different routes, whatever I feel like for that day. |

Solo for me. Mostly commute and errands.
Nearest club is 60 miles away. Every couple of weeks I will go see the grandparents about an hour out of town. Planning on hitting a reunion about 150 miles away on Aug 7th . |

Due to necessity (commuting), I ride solo a lot. However, I prefer to ride solo as well. Getting out early and hitting my favorite routes alone is therapeutic for me and sometimes I like to get a little aggressive in the turns and some folks like to putt a bit more than I, so I stick to riding by myself.
Meet-ups and rallies are fun, too, and I'm all for the group rides and socializing, too. Riding alone suits me best. |

Group solo club I've been riding in groups so much the past few months, that I think I need to rediscover the joy of a long, solitary ride. Just getting lost at my own pace, stopping when I want to, not having to worry about who's behind me. There were a couple recent posts on the Scooter in the Sticks blog that definitely underscored my desire to get out of the pack and head out alone. Just waiting for a day when I can get out, ride up into the mountains, and disappear for a couple hundred miles. |

I commute everyday. I also find an excuse to go somewhere in the evenings (once the kids are asleep). Never rode in a group before, I would probably be quite rubbish in a group, I am so used to doing my own thing. |
