Took my scooter to the dealers for a new exhaust gasket fitting and got talking to one of the lads there who has just sold his GTS because a punter wanted to but it when he saw it in the shop. Anyway got talking about the GTS and he asked if I'd got a malossi variator kit fitted and what a great difference it makes.

Don't think this was just him trying to sell me something I don't reallt need, but has anyone got one fitted, if so what difference does it make to pulling power and top speed.
The kit retails for around £130 over here so trying to justufy the outlay.

Expect to replace the rollers twice as often...

The Dr Pulley sliders are a far more economical alternative to get some extra pep off the line, or if you really want a better experience with money no object get a J Costa variator.

I'm no particular fan of Malossi - but to be fair that is mostly because of the way chavs put that stuff in their 50's and 125's and then wonder why they break down all the time.

To be honest Jim my main use of the scooter is as a commuter with the odd weekend jolly to the coast so I'm not really convinced that I need any extra power, but thought I'd ask for any opinions . Cheers
